Aug 14, 2017
[Beijing, China, Aug 14, 2017] The international certification authority, British Standards Institution (BSI), announced during the July 11, 2017 "Foreseeable Future: HUAWEI CLOUD in China" conference held in Beijing, that HUAWEI CLOUD was awarded Cloud Security CSA STAR International Certification. Lin Jin, the general manager of BSI China, issued a gold certification to the general manager of HUAWEI CLOUD Operation Dept, Xue Hao.
HUAWEI CLOUD has more than 10 years experience in cloud computing and security. Being awarded this certification demonstrates that its operational security management and technical capabilities have garnered international recognition and that its security compliance is leading in the world. CSA STAR is a new and dedicated international certification project that specifically targets specified cloud-related issues. To perform a comprehensive, neutral, strict, and accurate security assessment on cloud computing services in accordance with the CSA cloud control matrix (CCM) requirements, international laws, regulations, and other standard requirements, CSA STAR enhanced security by adopting the mature model and evaluation methods formulated by BSI. Both the model and evaluation methods are based on the information security management system ISO/IEC 27001. For the certification, HUAWEI CLOUD passed the BSI ISO27001 review, thus winning the gold medal in 16 CSA STAR assessment control fields covering operation, maintenance, supply chain, and R&D, as well as including partner management, operation transaction management, open gateway, security, operation data analysis, operation assurance, and content management fields.

Huawei has also participated in authoritative standard pilots (cloud service network security) and is one of the most certified cloud service companies in China. To ensure platform security and compliance with regulations, Huawei has constructed an in-depth defense system from the hardware to the application layer.
As to security services, Huawei has launched over 10 killer security services in the fields of host security, application security, network security, and data security. Additionally, to provide more security services for users, Huawei and its partners have taken the advantage of globalization to build secure ecosystems.
