Mar 15, 2018

[Hong Kong, China, March 15, 2018] HUAWEI CLOUD has extended its global cloud infrastructure with the addition of three Hong Kong data centers. The world-class facilities will offer public cloud services and solutions to support local and international enterprises in doing business globally and transforming their operations for business agility and growth.

With connections to 10 submarine and numerous overland cable systems, Hong Kong is a gateway to Asia Pacific and a regional hub connecting Chinese mainland and global markets. The HUAWEI CLOUD Hong Kong data centers will provide advanced cloud services and solutions, helping enterprises to expand into China or from China to the Asia Pacific. Hong Kong enterprises can also use the cloud services to accelerate their innovation.

“Our goal is to work together with partners to provide cloud services and solutions that are stable, reliable and secure, and that can be continuously evolved,” said Mr. Zheng Yelai, HUAWEI Cloud BU’s President. “Bringing our cloud infrastructure, services, support and expertise to Hong Kong, we are allowing enterprises to stand on Huawei's shoulders to innovate the future.”

Like all HUAWEI CLOUD data centers, the Hong Kong facilities will comply with international Tier 3+ standards and security certifications and use Huawei-developed high-performance servers, storage, and network devices. Working in active-active mode, the data centers will provide high-availability cloud services with ultra-low latency and ultra-high bandwidth Internet access from multiple carriers.

HUAWEI CLOUD will gradually provide Hong Kong with more than 100 cloud services of 14 major categories that have already been proven across Chinese mainland. These cover more than 60 solutions including e-commerce, the Internet of Things, high performance computing and artificial intelligence, and span a range of sectors, from finance, media, retail and gaming to healthcare, education and government.

Powering over 35% of the Fortune 500, Huawei has been continuously accelerating its research in information and communication technologies to facilitate the digital transformation of leading businesses. Huawei continues this legacy with the launch of Hong Kong data centers.

HUAWEI CLOUD is dedicated to building an open, collaborative, and mutually beneficial cloud ecosystem and helping partners quickly integrate into local ecosystems. Huawei's global service network has local service teams in 170 countries and regions, and offers end-to-end cloud service solutions from consultancy, design, and verification to implementation and operation.
