In March of this year, Zheng Yelai, Vice President of Huawei and President of Huawei Cloud BU, delivered his speech titled "Leading-Edge, Profile-Ready, Complete-Reliability"* as he detailed the key ideas behind the focuses of the cloud arm.
Several months following, Huawei Cloud China Tour 2018 kicked off in Shenzhen followed by Xi'an before stopping in Beijing on the third leg. Mr. Zheng Yelai was yet again present and delivered a speech as did the Jia Yongli, General Manager of Huawei Cloud Enterprise Intelligence Product Line, in which he shared on the overall progress of HUAWEI CLOUD and the conceptualizations in enterprise intelligence (EI) in the larger AI tent of the company’s offerings in addition to the unveiling of the first China-grown hybrid cloud DR solution able to run in a multi-cloud environment.

During his speech, Mr. Zheng mentioned some of the challenges with legacy Internet infrastructure in keeping up with all the demands brought about by such new innovative technologies as AI and Big Data. He continued in saying that specialized hardware needs to process the velocity and sheer volumes of data involved with the new tech pillars.
