Ecuador Deploys Huawei Cloud-based AI-assisted COVID-19 screening system

On March 17, Ecuador deploys AI-assisted COVID-19 screening system based on HUAWEI CLOUD and partner HY Medical for rapid screening.
To help Ecuador quickly respond to the epidemic and implement rapid screening of COVID19, Huawei urgently allocated resources. Huawei immediately arranged engineers to work onsite for 14 consecutive hours, to connect the HUAWEI CLOUD & HY Medical AI inference system to the IT system of the hospital, implemented AI-assisted screening of COVID19 in the Hospital General Del Sur De Quito Iess.
In the morning of March 18, CT was taken on site and screening of suspected pneumonia was completed in 5 cases immediately. The results showed that the AI-assisted screening system was accurate in localizing the lesions, and the diagnosis was in complete agreement with the actual infection. The clinician immediately said that the screening program can greatly improve the hospital's diagnostic efficiency, enhance the confidence of the Ecuadorian people to fight the epidemic. This AI-assisted screening system is also the first time that HUAWEI CLOUD and partner HY Medical provide AI services for Latin American people.
