[Shanghai, China, September 22, 2023] HUAWEI CONNECT 2023 runs in Shanghai from September 20 to 22. This morning, Mr. Kang Ning, President of Huawei Cloud Global Ecosystem, spoke on how "Partnership Paves the Way for New Value". In his keynote speech, Mr. Kang shared the latest progress and achievements of the Huawei Cloud ecosystem and announced the release of the Ascend AI Cloud Service as a solid computing backbone. Ascend joins Model Community and Developer Institute in empowering partners and developers to further grow the ecosystem.

"Let's innovate on Pangu models and reshape industries with AI." 5 million developers and 42,000 partners have joined the Huawei Cloud ecosystem, over 10,000 applications have been released on KooGallery (Huawei Cloud's marketplace), and more than 21,000 clients have applied for the Pangu PoC tests.

Deeper Collaboration for Industry-wide Innovation
The current focus is on deploying AI models throughout industries for a wide range of business usages, as opposed to compact AI models. Huawei Cloud's Ascend AI Cloud Service is the answer to this demand. This versatile infrastructure, with exceptional performance and diverse resources, will empower partners and developers in model migration and training.
Efficient migration: To facilitate model migration to Ascend, Huawei Cloud provides developers with toolchains, templates, and diverse mainstream resources: AI engines (such as MindSpore, PyTorch, and TensorFlow), 90% of AI framework operators, and state-of-the-art (SOTA) models.
Superb performance: Huawei Cloud has built three AI compute centers in Gui'an, Ulanqab, and Wuhu to further drive model innovation. Enterprise users and developers can directly use mainstream open-source models such as LLaMA and GLM. Additionally, a model containing trillions of parameters is trained at scale using distributed clusters. Optimized operators, frameworks, and platforms double the speed of model inference.
Stable and reliable: Model training faults are automatically reported in one minute. Through fast reset and local scheduling, model training is recovered within 30 minutes. Cluster stability ensures resumable training and improves training stability duration from days to months.
Huawei Cloud aims to build an open global ecosystem with a focus on developers, and Huawei Cloud Model Community is proof. This is where developers get access to quality datasets, enhanced SOTA models, AI capabilities, developer kits, courses, and technical support. Setting up such a platform was borne out of Huawei Cloud's belief in developers – that with the best resources, they can build a thriving ecosystem for a vast range of models and applications.
Huawei Cloud also takes developers on an upskilling journey. Courses on foundation models and cloud native are supplemented with hands-on experience for the chance to get certified and recognized.
Creating a thriving ecosystem also requires joint effort from customers and partners. To accelerate and simplify the development of industry models, Huawei Cloud provides a Pangu model engineering platform, covering data processing, model training, and application development. Huawei Cloud has developed 20+ industry models and 400+ AI applications on Pangu L0 foundation models, together with 150+ partners and 200+ customers. These achievements are unlocking more possibilities in all industries.
In the media industry, Yunshi Cloud is innovating with Huawei Cloud. Their media middleware developed on Pangu Media Model is specifically tailored to meet the service demands of the media industry and to accelerate the application of Artificial Intelligence Generated Content (AIGC).
In the legal affairs sector, Chongqing Fagu is working with Pangu Legal Model. Their goal is to provide legal advisories and assistance to the public, build a more just and inclusive society, and unlock AI's potential in the legal industry.

KooGallery, the cornerstone of the Huawei Cloud ecosystem, is the marketplace for application distribution and one-stop B2B shopping, connecting partners and users. More than 1,000 transactions are made on KooGallery everyday and over 500,000 customers benefit from its offerings. New Core Technology, a joint operation partner of Huawei Cloud, has had a surge in sales thanks to KooGallery – they improved their sales revenue by 528% and almost tripled their customer base.
