[Dongguan, China, May 15, 2024] Huawei Cloud kicked off its COMPASS 2024 for Latin America yesterday, a 200-strong event themed "Unlock New Growth, Reimagine New Possibilities." Enterprise and technology leaders from Latin America and China gathered to explore building new service experiences, innovative business models, and enhanced operational efficiency through Huawei Cloud's advanced technologies. The business summit unveiled the groundbreaking CHANGE architecture, tailored for finance, government, e-commerce, and media industries, to achieve new growth on the cloud.

In his opening speech, Daniel Zhou, President of Huawei Latin America, highlighted Huawei's commitment to supporting local enterprises in their digital transformation journeys. He shared that, "Huawei Cloud is now the fastest growing cloud in Latin America, securing the third-place position in the local IaaS market last year, with a rapidly growing customer base of 7,000. Two honorable guests shared their success experiences working with Huawei Cloud. MV, the biggest healthcare IT company in Brazil, migrated their database to Huawei Cloud GaussDB, experiencing a significant improvement in medical record query speed (from 3 to 0.5 seconds) and reduced registration time (by 20% on average per patient). Argentina's top 1 multimedia group, Clarin, leveraged Huawei Cloud to manage peak traffic during live streams with enhanced stability and lower latency.
