Huawei Cloud Native Journey: Helping Enterprises Efficiently Migrate to the Cloud and Effectively Use and Manage Cloud Resources
Huawei Cloud recommends a cloud native journey to help enterprises rapidly adopt cloud native technologies, which can enhance the efficiency and innovation capabilities of their IT systems. This journey not only improves cost-effectiveness but also speeds up the launch of products and services, improves customer experience, and ultimately boosts business growth and market competitiveness. It consists of four essential phases: planning and design, application cloudification, data cloudification, and cloud O&M management.
During the planning and design phase, enterprises must complete essential tasks such as planning their cloud migration, cloud IT governance, cloud architecture, security, and multi-cloud governance. Huawei Cloud offers Landing Zone, backup and disaster recovery (DR), and multi-cloud deployment solutions to help enterprises establish lean IT governance systems, multi-scenario cloud DR capabilities, data security protection, management innovation, and business growth.
Compared to last year, Landing Zone has significantly improved the scope of the cloud services offered, along with its data security, and permissions management analysis. IAM Access Analyzer is widely used to identify public access risks, assist with authorization policy edit, and detect unauthorized use with 100% accuracy. It helps enterprises implement centralized permissions management to enforce the principle of least privilege (PoLP) and reduce the risk of core asset data leakage.
During the application cloudification phase, enterprises must implement application migration to the cloud, cloud-based application DR, cloud-based application development, and secure code hosting. They should also gradually build up core aPaaS and industry aPaaS capabilities to speed up application innovation. Huawei Cloud offers SAP on cloud, CodeArts, and aPaaS solutions to help enterprises migrate their core ERP service systems to the cloud, enhance R&D efficiency, and accelerate the digital and intelligent transformation of industries.
During the data cloudification phase, enterprises encounter vast and varied data. To effectively analyze this data in real-time and extract its value, enterprises require secure, high-performance AI-native databases. They can achieve this by using technologies like big data and AI to complete essential tasks such as data cloudification, data governance, and intelligent data analysis on the cloud. Huawei Cloud offerings like GaussDB, DataArts, and AI video cloud solutions help enterprises unleash data value and make efficient decisions.
During the cloud O&M management phase, Huawei Cloud provides a cloud native security system, cloud native security operations, and deterministic operations solutions based on security compliance, security operations, and intelligent O&M. This provides intelligent, all-scenario, systematic cloud security compliance, enhancing service resilience and ensuring the stability of enterprise services.
Huawei Cloud has launched the Multilayer Ransomware Protection (MRP) solution to combat the increasing number of ransomware attacks worldwide. The MRP solution works in collaboration with Host Security Service (HSS) and Cloud Backup and Recovery (CBR) to provide comprehensive protection against ransomware attacks. It covers the entire ransomware process, including anti-intrusion, anti-proliferation, anti-leakage, and anti-tampering. The solution offers comprehensive ransomware prevention measures to safeguard customer data assets and minimize losses. It includes pre-event real-time virus detection and periodic data backup, in-event blocking within seconds of detecting a virus, and interactive backup within seconds to control the infection scope. Additionally, it provides post-event security isolation and restoration to ensure complete protection in all scenarios.
Huawei Cloud: Cloud Native Services for Every Industry
Huawei Cloud has long been a customer-centric enterprise. It strives to help enterprises accelerate intelligent upgrade with cloud native technologies.
Social media analysis is crucial for enterprises in the media sector to gain insights into user behavior, trends, and public sentiment, which can help them develop more effective marketing strategies. Dataxet, a renowned media intelligence company, recently introduced their latest analysis platform, DTX360. However, the project faces the challenge of quickly launching services with limited R&D manpower, providing elastic and scalable services based on service volume fluctuations, and effectively reducing cloud costs.
According to Amien Krisna, the Chief Technology Officer of Dataxet, the company was able to quickly launch a social media data analysis platform on a serverless architecture. They achieved this by using FunctionGraph, a serverless service provided by Huawei Cloud, which helped to reduce their R&D investment. FunctionGraph's auto scaling capability also allows the company to adjust compute resources dynamically based on service requirements, resulting in a cost reduction of over 50% compared to VMs. Additionally, the high reliability of FunctionGraph ensured the stability and continuity of analysis tasks, with a system availability of over 99.95%.

In the retail sector, providing a personalized customer experience has become a crucial factor for companies to stay competitive. Siam Piwat, a leading retail and real estate developer, is constantly exploring ways to offer tailored services to customers through mobile apps, social media, and AI customer service. Kraiwut Munsatiensin, EVP and Head of IT Infrastructure and Operation at Siam Piwat, explained that, "our vision to redefine online experience started with the ONESIAM Super App." He continued that with the help of Huawei, they were able to develop and launch the app in under a year, which was an impressive feat. To ensure a stable, agile, scalable, secure cloud platform, they used Huawei Cloud Landing Zone, which provides standard processes and security measures to ensure data security and compliance. They also used the Huawei Cloud data-AI convergence solution to collect and integrate vast amounts of data from sources like CRM and then use machine learning algorithms to clean and prepare the data for predictive models. With the ModelArts AI platform, they can accurately forecast customer behavior by analyzing past behaviors and trends, identifying patterns that might otherwise go unnoticed. These insights allow their marketing teams to design personalized campaigns.

In the Multi-Service provider (MSP) sector, every enterprise that uses an MSP wants to ensure the safety of their data and have access to user-friendly services. Dave Lafer, the Co-CEO of RAMO, the biggest consultancy in SAP Business one in Brazil, emphasized the importance of having an agile, efficient, reliable, cost-effective cloud platform to remain competitive. He stated that the Huawei cloud platform is capable of meeting their customers' requirements. With the increasing frequency of ransomware attacks, Huawei Cloud HSS and CBR provide a secure, reliable environment for data protection, which is crucial for their customers' peace of mind.

The agriculture sector is facing global challenges such as population growth, climate change, and food security, which have increased the demand for smarter and more efficient agricultural systems. Sky Yang, the Associate Director of Digital Solutions at Olam International in Singapore, explained how they developed the "Agripal" system, which is deployed on Huawei Cloud global infrastructure. This system enables farmers worldwide to quickly connect and optimize plantation and supply chain management. By seamlessly connecting producers, suppliers, distributors, and consumers, the agricultural supply chain's transparency is increased, and its efficiency is improved. This, in turn, reduces waste and improves food safety from farms to tables.

ALTO Network (Indonesia), in the financial sector, must offer users financial transaction services that are both high-performing and highly reliable and secure. They need to guarantee seamless, secure payments, regardless of location or time. According to Patricco Baron, the Chief Innovation Officer of ALTO Network (Indonesia), they have implemented Huawei Cloud CCE Turbo's Cloud Native 2.0 network model to enhance the network performance of their container services. This has helped to resolve network congestion issues that used to arise when the core workloads on the cloud interacted with on-premises switching systems. With this model, all systems can work simultaneously, and each system can proactively handle user requests. Additionally, effective traffic allocation has led to improved resource efficiency and the full utilization of cloud resources.
