Huawei Cloud: Empowering AI Pioneers for Industries to Build Success with Developers

Sep 20, 2025

[Shanghai, China, September 20, 2025] The 10th HUAWEI CONNECT took place in Shanghai from September 18 to 20, 2025. During his keynote titled "Empowering AI Pioneers in Industries to Build Success with Developers", Kang Ning, President of Huawei Cloud Global Ecosystem, detailed the latest advancements in the Huawei Cloud ecosystem and unveiled a comprehensive upgrade to Huawei Developer Space.

Mr. Kang stated, "Huawei Cloud is dedicated to an open, developer-centric AI ecosystem for shared success. We will continue to invest significantly in both new and foundational technologies, build more efficient development platforms, and support global developers, empowering AI pioneers for industries." To date, the number of global developers on Huawei Cloud has surpassed 8.5 million, with the Developer Institute having trained over 5.5 million individuals. Huawei Cloud now boasts 50,000 partners, and annual transactions in KooGallery have exceeded 1 million.

Continuous Commitment to Technological Innovation and Development Platforms

To equip developers with advanced AI-native application development capabilities, Huawei Cloud is continuously increasing its investment in tools and offerings for a thriving experience with the cloud.

First, Huawei Developer Space has been comprehensively upgraded with more AI development tools and free benefits. Developers access Developer Space through the web, CLI, and IDEs to enjoy features such as cloud development environments, the enterprise-class agent platform Versatile, GaussDB, and CodeArts Doer for Coding. It also provides a weekly free 180 hours of cloud development environment, 1 million cloud function calls, and 2 million MaaS tokens. Versatile offers lifecycle management from agent development, execution, to O&M. It seamlessly integrates Model Context Protocol (MCP) tools and opens core platform capabilities, which simplifies integration, enhances agent development by 40%, and reduces deployment costs by 30%.

Huawei Developer Space Undergoes Comprehensive Upgrade

Developer Space is continually enhancing the development experience with a wider range of scenario-specific resources for developers. For instance, developers in the development phase trigger the cloud IDE from the repository with just one click, a significant productivity boost. In the build and test phases, developers gain access to on-demand compute provisioned from the pipeline, a setup head start using CLI, and features like Kunpeng adaptation and migration, OpenHarmony compilation and testing, and web-based device-cloud integration tests. This cuts down the environment setup time from hours to mere seconds and reduces compute costs by over 50%. Currently, Developer Space boasts 1.2 million users and supports 400,000 cloud developers.

In addition, the Huawei Cloud Developer Institute serves as a comprehensive learning hub for Huawei's foundational and AI technologies. The recently introduced AI compute learning zone offers over 1,200 courses in operator development, CANN, scientific research, and AI compute model development, along with free AI labs. The Institute's certifications consolidate extensive best practices from Huawei's foundational technologies. For instance, AI onboarding covers foundation models, prompt engineering, RAG, and agent development. These technical certifications, including Cangjie and HarmonyOS, turn more foundational technology learners into experts.

Furthermore, Huawei Cloud enhances its toolchains for AI applications with even greater intelligence and efficiency.

For AI development, the foundation model toolchain ModelArts Studio is a Model as a Service (MaaS) platform. Now with a broader range of state-of-the-art models, from single-modal to multi-modal, this toolchain works with flexible sequence length options from 4K to 128K tokens. From data preparation to model tuning and evaluation, developers now swiftly create specialized models without reinventing the wheel. AI models are now even more accessible, with easy calls in just a few clicks through extensive MCP tools and model APIs compatible with both the Huawei Cloud Versatile and popular third-party tools like Dify, Cline, and BiSheng. Additionally, full-modal models offer on-demand token services that reduce compute costs by over 85%.

For software development, Huawei Cloud introduces CodeArts Doer for Coding for higher precision, efficiency, and stability. This assistant builds Huawei's extensive R&D and AI expertise into hierarchical memory and motivational forgetting mechanisms to enhance code generation and align with business needs. This end-to-end AI assistant boasts the industry's most comprehensive suite of professional agents, spanning the eight stages from requirements to deployment for over 40% more development efficiency. With double industry-standard protection and multi-agent self-healing workflows, CodeArts Doer identifies and rectifies vulnerabilities within minutes, ensuring robust security compliance.

Huawei Cloud Developer Technical Support Engineers (DTSEs) tackle the three primary challenges faced by AI developers: difficult model implementation, fragmented toolchains, and limited agent collaboration. Drawing from industry-proven best practices, Huawei Cloud DTSEs provide a robust model-agent empowerment system.

Empowering Partners for Competency Building and Business Success

Huawei Cloud is dedicated to supporting partners through competency-focused initiatives. To date, over 4,000 software partners and more than 1,000 service partners have joined the Huawei Cloud partner network. This year, Huawei Cloud launched an incentive program to promote foundational technologies such as AI Compute Service, Kunpeng cloud services, HarmonyOS application cloud migration, and GaussDB. There is an additional CNY150 million in incentives and coupons for compute resources, migration, Service Partner Expert Capability Building Funding Head (FH), Market Development Fund (MDF), and Non-Recurring Engineering (NRE). Additionally, comprehensive toolchain support empowers partners to develop more competitive joint solutions and innovative capabilities based on Huawei's foundational technologies.

Huawei Cloud has established an AI marketplace within KooGallery, encompassing data, models, and tools. This comprehensive platform offers high-quality, full-stack AI resources for developers. The Agent Zone of the AI marketplace features over 1,000 MCP tools and agents, enabling developers to seamlessly publish agents created on either Huawei Cloud or third-party platforms to this zone. Additionally, the AI marketplace offers promotional support and shared opportunities to expedite revenue generation.

The cloud ecosystem depends on the collaborative efforts of partners and developers to innovate and thrive. Huawei Cloud remains committed to increasing investment and collaboration in a robust AI ecosystem, driving new value through digital and intelligent transformations.
