The Institute has long been engaged in developing technologies used in research of health sciences and biology. It has amassed some impressive advantages in application of big data to these fields as well. Huawei offers industry-leading cloud computing, big data, artificial intelligence, and a host of other cloud services and solutions. With the combined advantages of both parties, big data can be better applied to the sciences. This cooperation further testifies to Huawei's committed to integrating biomedicine with artificial intelligence and cloud computing to promote the transformation and rapid development of biological information services.

SIBS has long focused on the development of new computing tools and algorithms for data-intensive biological information to help it better analyze the complexities in aging, evolution, and human diseases. The benefits of the multi-layering and high-throughput capabilities of big data utilities have helped the institute form its reputation in bringing in modern technology to keep it at the forefront of research.

Li Yixue, Director of the big data center at SIBS, has this to say: "Life science and medicine have stepped into the era of disruptive revolution driven by big data. Massive volumes of data are an integral part of research in the biosciences. Integrating cloud services and technology along with AI utility is becoming a top priority in the transformation of bioinformatics. By cooperating with HUAWEI CLOUD, the Shanghai Institute for Biological Sciences is able to accelerate its build of a scientific and technological multiplex able to support the new paradigm in data-intensive scientific research. This move will further advance our bioscience efforts and the digital and intelligent transformation of the entire field."

Jia Yongli, General Manager of Huawei Cloud Eye Service Product Dept, said that AI will become a basic component in productivity that will penetrate into various industries. He continued to expand on how the new pillar tech will bring about profound changes to society. Based on the "industry +AI" approach, HUAWEI CLOUD Enterprise Intelligence (EI) is perfectly suited to applications in the biosciences and is able to provide the personalized and scenario-specific functionalities needed in various fields to re-engineer value and productivity across all industries.

With the benefits of 30 years of technological accumulation from committed investments in the ICT field, HUAWEI CLOUD delivers powerful computing and storage capabilities with the ease and flexibility of the EI suite so organizations can thrive in the new era.
