VAT Rate Increases From 10 July, 2023

Dear customer,

As announced by the Presidential Decision Numbered 7346, published in the Official Gazette dated 07.07.2023 and Numbered 32241, the Value Added Tax ("VAT") rates for Türkiye was increased from 18% to 20% with effect from 10 July, 2023

Sparkoo Technologies Singapore Pte. Ltd. ("Singapore Sparkoo") is a company incorporated in Singapore and has registered as the Special VAT Registration for Electronic Service Provider; therefore it is affected by the VAT rate change.

To ensure a smooth transition and minimal disruptions to our business operations, we have prepared the following approaches to be adopted by Singapore Sparkoo, based on the above guidelines:

All invoices issued by Singapore Sparkoo to its non-VAT registered customers in Türkiye starting from 10 July, 2023 (inclusive) shall be subject to 20% VAT.

All invoices issued by Singapore Sparkoo to its VAT registered customers in Türkiye starting from 10 July,2023 (inclusive) shall be subject to 0% VAT. The customers (with VAT registered) in Türkiye need to file tax returns by themselves in accordance with the Reverse Charge Mechanism implemented by Türkiye.

All VAT collected from Türkiye customers will be paid to Turkish Tax Authority.

We will issue invoices that reflect VAT to you, and the relevant tax amount will also appear in your Billing Center. If you have selected VAT Register as the qualification name on the HUAWEI CLOUD official website, please choose Console > Account Center, and upload a valid qualification certificate and Tax Identification Number (a 10-character string of digits and letters), Singapore Sparkoo will not charge VAT on your future taxable services. If you select Non-VAT Register as your qualification name, Singapore Sparkoo will collect 20% VAT according to the above schedule and pay it to the Turkish tax authorities.

In the event that Singapore Sparkoo is subject to costs, additional payments, penalties, or compensation due to the Customer's misrepresentation, our company's right to recourse to the customer and all legal rights and claims are reserved.
