DNS has infrastructure deployed in more than 20 countries or regions, which can handle millions of concurrent queries. It also provides terabyte-level DDoS protection capacity.


  • Leverage intelligent resolution for flexible scheduling such as geolocation routing and weighted routing. Geolocation routing supports more than 200 countries or regions. You can also create custom lines to route traffic by using your understanding of your application and clients.

  • Use advanced features, such as reverse lookup for EIPs, DKIM, and global search of record sets, to best fit your needs for traffic routing.

  • Custom private zones to respond DNS queries within VPCs that are isolated from each other so your data will not be exposed to the Internet.

  • Work with Landing Zone to share your private zones with other accounts.

  • Associate private zones with VPCs in different regions. In this way, you only need to maintain one copy of record sets for cross-region disaster recovery.

  • Map private domain names to internal addresses of cloud services to access these services from VPCs. Set a recursive resolution proxy for private subdomains to have faster access to your application or cloud services.

Hybrid Cloud DNS

When your on-premises data center is connected to Huawei Cloud over one or more VPN or Direct Connect connections, DNS resolution is required for your on-premises data center and VPCs.

You do not need to worry about conflicts with IP addresses starting with 100 because DNS Resolver responds recursively to DNS queries within VPCs.

Conditional Forwarding

DNS queries can be forwarded for specific domain names and top-level domains to specific DNS servers for resolution.

You need a backup configuration for your workloads in a different region or on a cloud for quick disaster recovery, and DNS is configured to reroute DNS queries.
