Getting Started with Cloud Eye in 3 Steps
Getting Started with Cloud Eye in 3 Steps
Sign up with Huawei Cloud and purchase cloud resources
If you already have a Huawei Cloud account and have purchased an Elastic Cloud Server (ECS) or other cloud service resources, you can click Cloud Eye on the Huawei Cloud management console to go to the Cloud Eye console.
View metrics and add graphs
On the Server Monitoring or Cloud Service Monitoring page, locate a purchased resource, click View Metric in the Operation column, and view metrics on different graphs. Go to the Dashboards page, create a dashboard, and add graphs of metrics according to your needs.
Configure alarm rules
You can create alarm rules for key metrics. When the thresholds are met, Cloud Eye informs you by calling the Simple Message Notification (SMN) API.

Overview
Resource overview, alarm statistics, and other resource monitoring ranks and data are visible.

Cloud Service Metrics
Cloud Eye provides diverse built-in metrics based on the attribute of each service. This helps you see what is going on with your cloud services.

Server Monitoring
Server monitoring consists of basic monitoring, OS monitoring, and process monitoring.

Custom Monitoring
You can use simple API requests to report collected monitoring data of custom metrics to Cloud Eye for processing and display.

Event Monitoring
Cloud Eye monitors key events of certain cloud services. When an event matches a rule, Cloud Eye generates alarms, allowing you to respond quickly to operational changes and take corrective actions.

Resource Groups
You can add correlated resources to a resource group, obtain the collective health status of all the resources, and quickly resolve resource issues. This helps you manage resources more easily and improve O&M efficiency.
Best Practices
Best Practices
Service Monitoring on E-Commerce Platforms
E-commerce platforms have large data volume and massive data requests. So they require large memory size, fast data exchange and processing, and extremely strict monitoring. Proactive fine-grained monitoring of the core service, ECS, helps ensure that services run smoothly.
Livestreaming Monitoring
In the era of rapid Internet development, the demand for livestreaming is increasing. Huawei Cloud ECS, VPC, and ELB services ensure smooth HD livestreaming that features convenient access, low latency, and high concurrency. This helps you improve user experience by reducing issues such as slow loading and blurring.
Crowdsourcing Platforms
Crowdsourcing platforms are shared by knowledge workers. The platforms use the Internet to connect employers and service providers. Numerous service providers offer customized solutions for enterprises, public institutions, and individuals to transform ideas, wisdom, and skills into business value and social value.
Watching RDS Events
RDS is an online relational database service based on the cloud computing platform. When using relational databases, you need to stay focused on the database status. You can use event monitoring to track abnormal events and ensure that services run stably.
Monitoring Resource Groups
Cloud Eye provides resource groups and alarm management. How can a user effectively group and monitor resources and receive alarm notifications of the resources in different groups?
Monitoring the Disk Usage of All Mount Points on an ECS
You can configure alarm rules for the disk usage of all mount points on an ECS.
