On September 18, Dr. Peter Zhou, Director of the Board at Huawei and CEO of Huawei Cloud, delivered a keynote titled "The Agentic Cloud for the Agentic World: Build Together, Grow Together" at HUAWEI CONNECT 2026. He shared Huawei Cloud's latest progress. He announced the global launch of the latest AI Cluster Service (AICS), a key step in Huawei Cloud's strategy to strengthen the silicon bedrock on the cloud and reinforce the foundation for agentic AI. The keynote also highlighted the Agentic Model as a Service (MaaS) platform, which brings together diverse models to accelerate model capabilities as services at scale. The AgentArts enterprise-grade agent platform already serves over 100 enterprises. The Industry AI Foundry has accumulated more than 1,000 industry assets, with over 1,000 projects deployed. The Industry AI Foundry now includes two new zones, Smart Government Zone and AI Hardware Zone, to drive agents toward large-scale adoption. These efforts, taken together, are building a thriving AI ecosystem on the cloud.

At HUAWEI CONNECT 2026, Huawei Cloud Stack Summit, themed "Agentic Hybrid Cloud: Powering a New Era of Intelligence," brought together leading enterprises from around the world to explore emerging trends in digital infrastructure and AI and share insights from real-world deployments, highlighting how AI can unlock new levels of productivity across industries.

Recently, Gartner®, a company that delivers actionable, objective insight to executives and their teams, officially released the 2026 Magic Quadrant for Container Management report. Huawei Cloud has been named in the Leaders Quadrant for a consecutive year. Once again, we are recognized for our ability to execute and completeness of vision.

Huawei launched Agentic AI Cloud and related AI solutions in Nigeria to upgrade the local cloud's AI capabilities and accelerate the deployment of Agentic AI across finance, carriers, Internet, and government and enterprise sectors. Building on the local cloud's key strengths in data residency, security and compliance, and low latency, Huawei will help customers develop and deploy AI agents more efficiently. This will accelerate the conversion of AI technologies into industry value and enable Nigeria's intelligent transformation.

The "OptVerse-CSU" team—a joint team formed by Huawei Cloud OptVerse AI Solver and the Intelligent Learning and Optimization Group from Central South University—has won first place in the Competition on Evolutionary Expensive Optimization for Mixed-Variable Optimization Problems at the 2026 IEEE World Congress on Computational Intelligence (IEEE WCCI).

Huawei Cloud hosted Huawei Cloud Summit Thailand 2026, bringing together leaders from government, business, industry partners, and the technology community to exchange views on how cloud and AI can support Thailand's digital economy. During the event, Huawei Cloud announced "Huawei Cloud Agentic Infrastructure: Now Available for Thailand" and officially launched Huawei Cloud CodeArts Agent Open Beta Testing (OBT) in the country.
