Cloud services
You can select an IEC site that is near your end users to run Huawei Cloud services, such as Elastic Cloud Server (ECS), Elastic Volume Service (EVS), or Virtual Private Cloud (VPC).
Compute
IEC provides secure, scalable virtual servers with flexible billing modes to lower costs, and there is almost no O&M required. Supported specifications include General Computing-plus c7n and s7n ECSs.
Storage
IEC provides reliable, scalable, high-performance persistent block storage for compute services like Elastic Cloud Server (ECS) and Bare Metal Server (BMS). Supported disk types include ultra-high I/O disks and general-purpose SSD.
Containers
IEC provides next-generation clusters designed for Cloud Native 2.0, with accelerated compute, networking, and scheduling. Native Kubernetes applications and tools can be used to simplify the setup of the container runtime environment on the cloud.
Networking
IEC provides isolated cloud resources with virtual private networks. VPC enables your cloud resources to securely communicate with each other, over the internet, and on-premises networks. You can create a cloud-edge VPC to enable communication between IEC HomeZones and the central AZ of the Huawei parent region.
Internet and Direct Connect
IEC provides static public IP addresses and scalable bandwidths that enable your cloud resources to communicate with the Internet. IEC can also work with Direct Connect to establish dedicated, stable, secure network connections that are fast and with very little latency between your on-premises data center and Huawei Cloud VPC.
Edge Gateway
An edge gateway can connect subnets in the same VPC that is used in both HomeZones and central AZs in parent regions.
You can buy an edge gateway to transmit data plane data across HomeZones and central AZs in parent regions. IEC provides 1 Mbit/s of bandwidth for free. If you need more, you can create an edge gateway and bind it to the global private bandwidth of a cloud connection to ensure the data communication between the central AZ in the parent region and the HomeZones.
Parent region services
If your services are deployed on IEC, you can seamlessly connect to the parent region through the backbone network built by Huawei Cloud to use full cloud services.
