On December 1, 2025, 00:00:00 GMT+08:00, Huawei Cloud will discontinue the sale of RDS for SQL Server 2012.

After RDS for SQL Server 2012 is discontinued, DB instances of this version will no longer be available for purchase. But previously purchased instances will still be usable. For more functions and better performance, you are advised to buy the latest available version.

1. Why Will RDS for SQL Server 2012 Be Discontinued?

The product vendor ended support for SQL Server 2012 on July 12, 2022. Since that date, they have not provided free patches or security updates. They now only provide paid extended security updates.

2. Will My DB Instances of RDS for SQL Server 2012 Be Affected After This Version Is Discontinued?

No. Previously purchased instances of this version are still usable.
