With the rapid growth of HUAWEI CLOUD video services, traditional video codecs cannot meet service requirements in terms of encoding bit rates and computing power consumption. The video compression algorithm team of Huawei Cloud Algorithm Innovation Lab focuses on the research of video compression algorithms and uses AI technologies to reduce the video encoding bit rate and computing power consumption in real cloud video service scenarios (such as video conferencing, distance education, and live broadcast).

1. Take charge of the R&D of HUAWEI CLOUD video compression algorithm. Research low-bit-rate and low-power video encoding and decoding algorithms while ensuring user visual experience.

HUAWEI CLOUD CDN distributes content from origin servers to acceleration nodes close to users, resolving Internet congestion and improving user access response speed and success rate. Currently, the CDN has thousands of nodes worldwide and continues to grow rapidly. In the 5G and IoT era, Internet traffic continues to grow massively, posing great technical challenges to the CDN architecture and algorithms.
