What Is ECS? An Elastic Cloud Server (ECS) is a basic computing unit that consists of vCPUs, memory, OS, and Elastic Volume Service (EVS) disks. You can create an ECS by specifying its vCPUs, memory, specifications, OS, network, and login mode.
In the authorized region, perform the following operations: Choose Compute > Elastic Cloud Server in the service list. On the ECS console, click Buy ECS. If the purchase attempt failed, the ECSReadOnlyAccess policy has already taken effect.
For more information about the user data to be injected, see Injecting User Data into ECSs in Elastic Cloud Server User Guide. Examples Before base64 encoding: Linux #!

Modifying ECS specifications, such as the number of vCPUs or memory, may affect the ECS performance. The specifications of an ECS can be modified only when the ECS is in the Stopped state. Do not power on the ECS during the specification modification.
What OSs Are Supported If I Want to Install Docker on a Linux ECS? If you want to install Docker on your Linux ECS, ensure that the OS of your ECS is supported by Docker. Table 1 lists the OSs supported by Docker.
A D1 ECS can be attached with up to 60 disks (including local disks). For details about constraints, see Can I Attach Multiple Disks to an ECS? The maximum number of disks attached to an existing D1 ECS remains unchanged.
