Prerequisites The target ECS is running. You have bound an ECS to the EIP. For details about how to bind an EIP, see Binding an EIP. Access to port 22 is allowed in the inbound direction of the security group which the ECS belongs to.
If an ECS has a spanned volume, back up data in the spanned volume and then delete the volume. Use the ECS to create a full-ECS image. You can then use the full-ECS image to create an ECS and use the backup to create a spanned volume for the new ECS if necessary.
Yearly/Monthly quota: After an ECS or CCE cluster node is deleted, its yearly/monthly HSS quota is unbound from it and changes to the Idle state. You can bind a quota in Idle state to another ECS or CCE cluster node and enable protection. For details, see Binding a Quota.
If the ECS fails, select a backup you want to use to restore the ECS, create a full-ECS image from the backup, and use the image to create a new ECS or to reinstall the OS of the ECS. Create a system disk image from the ECS.
Can an ECS Be Restored Using Its Backups After It Has Been Changed? Yes. If an ECS has been backed up and changed such as adding, deleting, or expanding EVS disks, its backups can still be used to restore data. You are advised to back up data again after the change.
