Disk encryption will not encrypt backup data stored in OBS. To enable backup data encryption, contact customer service. If disk encryption or backup data encryption is enabled, keep the key properly.
Can I Use an Encrypted Password to Log In to an RDS DB Instance? No. When you log in to an RDS instance, use the password set on the console for authentication. Encrypted password authentication is not supported. Parent Topic: Product Consulting
This symmetric key is then used to encrypt the password and data. For a non-SSL connection, the client uses the RSA public key of the MySQL server to encrypt the user password, and the server uses the RSA private key to decrypt and verify the password.
If you want to use a user-defined key to encrypt objects to be uploaded, create a key using DEW. RDS supports only symmetric keys. For details, see Creating a CMK.

For security reasons, you are advised to download the SSL certificate to encrypt the connection. SSL is disabled by default for newly created instances. You can enable SSL by referring to Configuring an SSL Connection.
Run the following commands to encrypt or decrypt a table. In the commands, tablename indicates the name of the table to be encrypted or decrypted.
Transmission Encryption RDS uses Transport Layer Security (TLS) and Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) to encrypt transmission. You can download a Certificate Agency (CA) certificate from the RDS console and upload it when connecting to a database for authentication.
