Secure If the disks are encrypted, their backups are also encrypted to ensure data security. Parent topic: Service Overview

If the backup is encrypted for ransomware protection, perform the following operations. Log in to the management console as an IAM administrator. Click in the upper left corner and select a region. In the service list, choose Compute > Elastic Cloud Server.
When such a backup is used to restore data, the encrypted data will first be decrypted and then restored to the target disk.
AK/SK authentication: Requests are encrypted using AK/SK pairs. AK/SK authentication is recommended because it is more secure than token authentication. Token Authentication The validity period of a token is 24 hours.

Backup data encryption If a disk you want to back up is encrypted, the backups generated for this disk will also be encrypted. When such a backup is used to restore data, the encrypted backup will first be decrypted and then restored to the target disk.
Certain regions, such as LA-Buenos Aires1, do not support replicated encrypted backups. Only vaults of the same type can be selected as destination vaults.
Set MYSQL_USER and MYSQL_PASSWORD based on your actual conditions, where MYSQL_PASSWORD should be the encrypted password obtained in step 1.
After the encrypted password is displayed, copy it to the clipboard. If the command is incorrect, run /home/rdadmin/Agent/bin/agentcli encpwd instead. The plaintext password configured in the freezing and unfreezing scripts cannot exceed 16 characters.
Shared encrypted disks associated with multiple cloud servers cannot be backed up at the same time. If you need to back up multiple cloud servers at the same time, back up one cloud server first. After the backup is complete, back up all the cloud servers at the same time.

If an encrypted backup is shared, the shared key needs to be synchronized through the DEW. When an encrypted backup is shared, the encryption key must also be shared with the recipient so that the recipient can use the shared backup.
