China Life Insurance Has Built a Unified Hybrid Cloud Platform Using Huawei Cloud Stack

China Life Internet applications use a cross-cloud deployment. They deploy frontends on Huawei Cloud and leverage AI services. For example, Cloud Assistant, a program of China Life, uses DNS, GSLB, CDN, OBS, and video transcoding services of Huawei Cloud to deploy its frontends, and deploys backend databases and clusters on the ECSs and BMSs of their on-premises Huawei Cloud Stack.

China Life uses Huawei Cloud Stack as the foundation of the entire IT infrastructure to manage self-developed OpenStack resource pools, VMware resource pools, and Rancher container resource pools. In a federated architecture, China Life's hybrid cloud has seamless access to Huawei Cloud services and manages cloud services hosted in different regions and resource pools. A diverse range of China Life businesses have been migrated to the hybrid cloud platform.
