Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how Huawei Cloud ("Huawei Cloud", "we", "our" and "us") uses Cookie and similar technologies in connection with https://www.huaweicloud.com/eu ("Website") and all products and services that contain or refer to this Cookie Policy (collectively “Services”).

You may access and change your Cookie preferences at any time.

Please see our Privacy Statement for details on how we process your personal data.

1. What are Cookies?

Cookies are small data files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website, which often include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are created when your browser loads a particular website. The website sends information to the browser which then creates a text file. Every time the user goes back to the same website, the browser retrieves and sends this file to the website's server. The content of a Cookie can be retrieved and read only by the server that created the Cookie. Cookies are unique to the browser or mobile application you are using. Cookies serve different purposes, like helping us understand how a site is being used, letting you navigate between pages efficiently, remembering your preferences and generally improving your browsing experience.

We may use both session Cookies (which expire once you close your web browser) and persistent Cookies (which stay on your computer or mobile device up to one year, or until you withdraw your consent or delete them, as applicable). We keep information collected from Cookies for a maximum of one year.

2. What Cookies we use and what information we collect

We use two broad categories of Cookies:

a) Essential Cookies: These cookies are essential for the proper functioning of the Services and cannot be deactivated without affecting the use of the Services. They are usually deposited as a result of actions you take to obtain the required Services, such as when you set your cookie preferences, log in or fill in forms. You can set your browser to block these cookies or alert you to their presence, but some parts of the Services will no longer work.

b) Analytical Cookies [we use them to analyze traffic on our website and personalize content]: These cookies help us improve or optimise the experience we provide. They allow us to measure how visitors interact with our Services and we use this information to improve the user experience and performance of our Services. These cookies are used to collect technical information about your use of our Services (either for a single visit, using session cookies, or for repeated visits, using a persistent cookies), such as the last Huawei website visited, whether or not email communications are opened, the number of pages visited, the source from which you visited our Services, which parts of our Services or email communication are clicked on and the length of time between clicks. All information these cookies collect is aggregated and therefore may be non-directly identifiable.

Many of the Services require Cookies to operate. If you choose not to allow Cookies related to these Services, you may not be able to use those Services or certain features of the Services.
