Deleting a schema This API is used to delete a schema to release all its resources. Querying DB instances available for creating a schema This API is used to query DB instances that can be used for creating a schema.
For example, you can create IAM users for software developers and assign specific permissions to allow them to use DDM resources but disallow them to delete the resources or perform any high-risk operations. IAM is a free service. You pay only for the resources in your account.
Unsupported DML Statements Unsupported DML Statements Table 1 Syntax restrictions on DML DML Syntax Constraint DELETE statement PARTITION clauses are not supported. UPDATE statement Cross-shard subquery is not supported. SELECT statement ORDER BY statement.
Database Accounts and Permissions To create a schema, import schema information, or configure shards, you can use the administrator account of data nodes or create a database account with the following permissions: SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE, CREATE, DROP, RELOAD, PROCESS, REFERENCES

Monitor idle DDM resources and delete idle instances in a timely manner.
Do not modify or delete the internal accounts (DDMRW*, DDMR*, and DDMREP*) created on data nodes. Otherwise, services will be affected. The internal account name is in the format: Fixed prefix (such as DDMRW, DDMR, or DDMREP) + Hash value of the data node ID.

Stopping Billing If you no longer need to use your DDM instance, you can unsubscribe from or delete it to stop the billing. For details, see Billing Termination. Managing Costs DDM costs include resource costs and O&M costs.
Submit a service ticket to the O&M personnel to coordinate resources, delete the node that fails to be added, and add a node again. A DDM instance cannot be scaled out. Failed to scale in a DDM instance reduceNodeFailed Major The underlying resources fail to be released.
