If the original capacity of an EVS disk is 4096 GB, the disk capacity cannot be expanded. After the instance is stopped, the expanded capacity still takes effect. The billing is based on the expanded EVS disk capacity. An EVS disk is billed as long as it is used.

EVS ModelArts uses Elastic Volume Service (EVS) to store created notebook instances. For details, see Elastic Volume Service User Guide. CCE ModelArts deploys models as real-time services using Cloud Container Engine (CCE), which supports high concurrency and auto scaling.
Solution If space is insufficient, use notebook instances with EVS disks. Upload the code and data of the affected notebook instance to an OBS bucket. Then, create a notebook instance with EVS disks, and download the data from OBS to the new notebook instance.
Using the Storage How do I use EVS in a development environment? When creating a notebook instance, select a small-capacity EVS disk. You can scale out the disk as needed. For details, see Dynamically Expanding EVS Disk Capacity.
The selected EVS disks for creating a notebook instance will be billed from the time of creation until the instance is deleted. Pay-per-use EVS disk size x EVS disk unit price x Purchase quantity x Purchase duration For details, see EVS Price Calculator.
The EVS billing is based on the expanded capacity. An EVS disk is billed as long as it is used. To stop billing an EVS disk, delete data from the EVS disk and release the disk.

N/A N/A Storage resource EVS EVS is used to store data generated for running notebook instances. The default disk size is 5 GB. You are billed by GB from the time when a notebook instance is created to the time when it is deleted. For details, see EVS Pricing Details.
The EVS system ID is changed. As a result, the EVS system disk cannot be scaled out, and message "The order is expired. The capacity cannot be expanded. Renew the order." is displayed. Medium Mount an EVS or SFS disk for capacity expansion. Parent topic: Before You Start
EVS After you click upload, the data is uploaded to the instance container, that is, the ~/work directory on the Terminal page. Parent topic: Data Upload or Download
This includes more ECS instances, memory, CPU cores, and EVS disk space. You will need to request a higher quota to meet these needs. The following table lists quota items.

Additionally, clear the data stored in EVS disks for running notebook instances and data stored in OBS to stop billing. You can enable balance alerts on the Overview page of the Billing Center.
For details about EVS purchase parameters, see Purchasing an EVS Disk. Figure 1 Buying a disk Currently, an EVS disk cannot be mounted to the cloud server when it is being created.
Notebook instance with EVS storage For this type of notebook instances, the files uploaded to JupyterLab are by default stored in the EVS space automatically allocated during the instance creation.
