Public services, such as Elastic Cloud Server (ECS), Elastic Volume Service (EVS), Object Storage Service (OBS), Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Elastic IP (EIP), and Image Management Service (IMS), are shared within the same region.

UCS can automatically create EVS, OBS, and SFS volumes and mount them to the container path of a Huawei Cloud cluster. EVS offers scalable block storage with high reliability, high performance, and extensive specifications for containers.
EVS Disk Type: You can select High I/O, Ultra-high I/O, or Common I/O. Capacity: capacity specified when a PVC is created or the maximum storage limit when the pod storage is selected. Using EVS disks for add-on storage will incur extra expenditures.
Storage migration In this phase, you will migrate the EVS disk data to the destination AZ. For details, see Storage Migration. Application backup In this phase, you will back up applications in the source AZ cluster.
Storage Migration If your cluster uses EVS disks, you need to migrate the EVS disks to the destination AZ together with the cluster. The migration method is as follows: Create a backup for the disk using the CBR service.
Enabling Auto-Renewal During Purchase This method is suitable for all resources, including clusters, nodes, EVS disks, and EIPs. Log in to the UCS console. Hover over Billing & Costs in the upper part of the console and choose Renewal from the drop-down list.

Cloud Storage Migration If your cluster uses EVS disks or SFS file systems, you can use Cloud Backup and Recovery (CBR) for cross-region migration. For details, see Cloud Backup and Recovery (CBR). CBR lets you back up ECSs, BMSs, disks, and on-premises VMware VMs.
For other cloud services you may also use when running UCS, such as Elastic Cloud Server (ECS), Elastic Volume Service (EVS), Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Elastic Load Balance, SoftWare Repository for Container (SWR), and Domain Name Service (DNS), their quotas are independent of
Storage Class csi-disk: EVS disk. Specify the AZ and disk type. AZ: Specify the AZ where the EVS disk is located. The supported EVS disk types may vary in different AZs.
For details, see Extending Disk Partitions and File Systems (Linux) in the Elastic Volume Service User Guide.
