Why Is the Image Size in an OBS Bucket Different from That Displayed in IMS? Symptom When a private image is exported to an OBS bucket, the image size in the bucket is different from that displayed in IMS.
To replicate an image larger than 128 GB across regions, you can export the image to an OBS bucket, import the image to an OBS bucket in the target region, and register it as a private image. How Many Cross-Region Image Replication Tasks Can I Run Concurrently? Five.
Upload the image file to an OBS bucket. Register the image file on the cloud platform. RAW Optimize the image file. Generate a bitmap file for the image file. Upload the image file and bitmap file to an OBS bucket. Register the image file on the cloud platform.

If it is a system or data disk image, the OBS storage is free. If it is a full-ECS image, you will be billed for the space used to store the CBR backup. Full-ECS images created from a CBR backup can be shared but those created from a CSBS backup cannot.
External image files to be uploaded to the system are stored in OBS buckets, and private images are exported to OBS buckets.

Private images created using ECSs are stored in OBS buckets. Deleting or unsubscribing from the ECSs does not affect the images. Can I Delete an Image I Shared with Others?
Exporting an Image Function This is an extension API and used to export a private image to an OBS bucket. Before exporting an image, ensure that you have Tenant Administrator permissions for OBS.

After the image is successfully exported, you can download it from the OBS bucket on the OBS console or using OBS Browser. Create an OBS bucket in the CN South region. Upload the image file downloaded in step 1 to the OBS bucket in the CN South region.

All OBS buckets are displayed in the list. Filter the OBS buckets by region and locate the target bucket in the current region. To obtain an OBS image file name: Log in to the management console and choose Storage > Object Storage Service.
Use OBS Browser+ to upload the converted image file and its bitmap file to an OBS bucket. You must upload the RAW image file and its bitmap file to the same OBS bucket. Register a private image.
