Although backups and images are stored in OBS, you cannot view backup and image data in OBS, because they do not occupy your resources. Backup fees are charged according to the CBR billing standards, and image storage fees are charged according to the OBS billing standards.

To store operation records for longer than seven days, configure transfer to OBS or Log Tank Service (LTS) so that you can view them in OBS buckets or LTS log groups.
However, you can use the public image to create an ECS, use the ECS to create a private image, export the private image to your OBS bucket, and then download the image.
Create a private image using an ISO image file uploaded to the OBS bucket. Send POST https://IMS endpoint/v2/cloudimages/action. Add X-Auth-Token to the request header.
NOTE: The storage class of the OBS bucket must be Standard.

Maximum file size: 1 TB Fast Import of an Image File Standard export You can export private images to OBS buckets and download them to your local PC for further use on other cloud platforms. Maximum file size: 128 GB (If an image file is larger than 128 GB, use fast export.)
Public services, such as Elastic Cloud Server (ECS), Elastic Volume Service (EVS), Object Storage Service (OBS), Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Elastic IP (EIP), and Image Management Service (IMS), are shared within the same region.
Download the image file from the OBS bucket. You can create an image from a running cloud server. The image creation does not affect services on the cloud server. In this process, do not stop, start, or restart the cloud server, or the image creation may fail.
Multiple copies of image files are stored on Object Storage Service (OBS), which provides excellent data reliability and durability. Private images can be encrypted for data security by using envelope encryption provided by Key Management Service (KMS).
