Backups are saved as packages in OBS buckets to ensure data confidentiality and durability. Since backing up data affects the database read and write performance, you are advised to perform automated backups during off-peak hours.
Scan operation hints can be used for row-store tables, column-store tables, HDFS tables, OBS tables, and subquery tables. (This is a lab feature. Contact Huawei technical support before using it.) HDFS internal tables include base tables and delta tables.
Value range: an integer ranging from 0 to 2147483647 Default value: 0 hadr_max_size_for_xlog_receiver Parameter description: Specifies the maximum difference between the OBS logs obtained by instances in the DR cluster and the local playback logs.

Default value: 1 time_to_target_rpo Parameter description: In the remote DR mode of dual database instances, set the allowed time_to_target_rpo seconds from the time when an exception occurs on the primary database instance to the time when data is archived to the OBS recovery point
Default value: 1 time_to_target_rpo Parameter description: Specifies the maximum time_to_target_rpo seconds from the time when an exception occurs on the primary cluster to the time when data is archived to the OBS recovery point in dual-cluster remote DR mode.

OM_Agent downloads archived logs from OBS to the corresponding node and creates a folder named with the first eight digits of the WAL file name. After the decoding is complete, the restored data is stored in a file and the file path is returned.

Billing Backups are saved as packages in OBS buckets. For the billing details, see How Is GaussDB Backup Data Charged? After a DB instance is deleted, the free backup space of the DB instance is automatically canceled. Manual backups are billed based on the space required.
Public services, such as Elastic Cloud Server (ECS), Elastic Volume Service (EVS), Object Storage Service (OBS), Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Elastic IP (EIP), and Image Management Service (IMS), are shared within the same region. Regions can be universal or dedicated.
