Do I Need to Detach an EVS Disk Before Expanding Its Capacity? An expansion consists of two phases: Expand the disk capacity on the management console. A shared, in-use disk cannot be expanded. You must detach the shared disk from all its servers and then expand its capacity.
Creating a Logical Volume Using LVM Scenarios This section shows how to create a 15 GB logical volume based on two 10 GB EVS disks. Logical volumes can be created based on EVS disks with different specifications.
The method for formatting an EVS disk varies depending on the OS running on the server. This section is used for reference only. Prerequisites You have an ECS and have bound an EIP to the ECS. Procedure Log in to the ECS as user root.
