Solution Encrypt your EVS disks. For details, see Managing Encrypted EVS Disks Rule Logic If an EVS disk is encrypted, this disk is compliant. If an EVS disk is not encrypted, this disk is non-compliant. Parent topic: Elastic Volume Service

EVS disks can be created only based on snapshots, and snapshots cannot be rolled back to source EVS disks.
Figure 3 Data rebuild principle What Are the Differences Between Three-Copy Redundancy, EVS Snapshots, and EVS Backups? Three-copy redundancy improves the reliability of the data stored on EVS disks.
Switch back to the Elastic Volume Service page. Check whether the EVS disk is successfully created. It takes more than 10 minutes to create an EVS disk using a VBS backup.

Different types of EVS disks can be attached to the same server. You only need to make sure that these disks and the server are in the same AZ. Parent topic: Attachment
If the disk was purchased on the EVS console and not as part of the same order as any server, it can be attached to another server. Parent topic: Attachment
Creating a VBS Backup You can create backups for your EVS disks to protect the disk data through the VBS console or the EVS console. Precautions An EVS disk can be backed up only when its status is Available or In-use.

EVS is used to store DDS instance data. For details about EVS, see Elastic Volume Service User Guide. DDS instance backup data is stored in OBS and does not count towards your DDS storage quota.

Overview What Is Elastic Volume Service? Elastic Volume Service (EVS) offers scalable block storage for ECSs.

Yearly/Monthly data disks purchased on the EVS console have different expiration times as the server. They can be unsubscribed from separately. Snapshot creation / For details, see the constraints in Creating an EVS Snapshot.
