Requirements and Limitations EVS disks cannot be restored in a batch. If you use data backups to create an EVS disk, the new EVS disk cannot be used as a system disk. EVS Disk Data Backup VBS works only on EVS disks. For details, see Creating a VBS Backup.

You need to attach an EVS disk to the ECS and then migrate the local disk data to the EVS disk. Procedure Add an EVS disk. Add an EVS disk based on the amount of the local disk data to be backed up.

High I/O EVS disk EVS disks that use serial attached SCSI (SAS). These EVS disks provide high I/O and low latency.
However, you will pay for the EVS disks and EIPs you used on the ECSs. When you buy pay-per-use ECSs, the price of the EVS disks and EIPs is higher than that of yearly/monthly ECSs.
You can use the following types of storage volumes when creating a workload: Elastic Volume Service (EVS) volumes You can mount an EVS volume into a container path. When the container is migrated, the mounted EVS volume is also migrated.
EVS Disks SMS creates and attaches a 40-GB EVS disk to each target server during the migration. These EVS disks are billed on a pay-per-use basis. After the migration is complete, these temporary EVS disks will be released.

None Volume Backup Service | Overview Volume Backup Service (VBS) allows you to back up Elastic Volume Service (EVS) disks and restore EVS disks from backups, keeping your data on EVS disks accurate and secure.

For details about how to create disks, see Purchasing an EVS Disk in Elastic Volume Service Quick Start. If DSS is used, see Dedicated Distributed Storage Service Getting Started. Procedure Log in to the management console. Under Computing, click Bare Metal Server.
You can use this cluster ID to query the EVS disks automatically created for the cluster and delete them as required. Go to the EVS console. Use pvc-{UID} to query all EVS disks automatically created for the cluster.
After a notebook instance is stopped, the compute resources are no longer billed, but EVS is still billed. To avoid unnecessary fees, delete EVS resources in a timely manner to stop charging. For details about EVS billing, see Table 1.
How Do I Obtain the Drive Letter of an EVS Disk? Are the EVS Disk Device Names on the Console and the Device Names in BMS OSs Consistent? Why Is the EVS Disk Size Not Updated in the BMS OS After the EVS Disk Capacity Has Been Expanded?
For deletion operations: Select EVS for Trace Source, evs for Resource Type, and deleteVolume for Trace Name. View the filtering result. By default, all EVS creation or deletion operations performed in the last hour are queried.
Figure 3 Viewing the details of the EVS disk On the CCE console, click the cluster name to access the cluster console. Choose Nodes in the navigation pane, click the Nodes tab, and click Create Node to create a node in the same AZ as the EVS disk.
Adding Backend Servers Elastic Volume Service (EVS) Allows you to attach EVS disks to an ECS and expand their capacity.
