EVS disks If an EVS disk (a system disk or a data disk) is created with a spot block instance, this EVS disk is billed on a pay-per-use basis.

EVS disk EVS disks are mandatory. A system disk is 40 GB by default. EVS disks can be billed on a pay-per-use or yearly/monthly basis. For pricing details, see Elastic Volume Service Pricing Details. The usage duration of EVS disks should be the same as the associated ECS.
The EVS must be in the available status. The EVS disk and the target ECS must be located in the same AZ. VBD EVS disks cannot be attached to BMSs. URI POST /v2.1/{project_id}/servers/{server_id}/os-volume_attachments Table 1 describes the parameters in the URI.

All regions Changing a VPC ECS Data Backup Cloud Backup and Recovery (CBR) backs up data for EVS disks and ECSs, and uses snapshot backups to restore the EVS disks and ECSs.
If this parameter is not specified, common EVS disks are created by default. Range true: indicates that the created disk is a shared disk. false: indicates that the created disk is a common EVS disk.

The billing modes of ECSs that have shared EVS disks, DSS disks, or DESS disks attached cannot be changed.
Public services, such as Elastic Cloud Server (ECS), Elastic Volume Service (EVS), Object Storage Service (OBS), Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Elastic IP (EIP), and Image Management Service (IMS), are shared within the same region.
