(Optional) Installing the SDI Driver With the SDI driver, EVS disks can be attached to BMSs. The EVS disks can be used as system disks from which the BMSs are booted. This facilitates quick BMS provisioning.
x86 V6 BMS with Intel Cascade Lake CPU General-purpose This BMS type provides general compute, storage, and network specifications and supports attachment of EVS disks.
Quotas can limit the number or amount of resources available to users, such as the maximum number of ECS or EVS disks that can be created. If the existing resource quota cannot meet your service requirements, you can apply for a higher quota. How Do I View My Quotas?

It works based on the consistent snapshot technology for Elastic Volume Service (EVS) disks. With CSBS, you can use backup data to restore BMS data, ensuring data security and correctness. Constraints BMS backups cannot be used to create images.
You can create snapshots of the BMS system disk on the EVS console periodically. To restore the system disk data, mount the target system disk to the sda mount point. Power off the BMS. Log in to the management console. Under Computing, click Bare Metal Server.
*EVS disk (system disk) Billed by EVS disk type and capacity. Regardless of whether you use the disk, you will be charged right away after purchasing it. Unit price x Required duration For details, see EVS Pricing Details.
If other service products, such as EVS disks, EIPs, and bandwidths are bound to the BMS, these products are billed using their own billing mode (yearly/monthly or pay-per-use). Stopping a BMS will forcibly interrupt services running on it.
Billing Termination Yearly/Monthly Resources When you purchase a yearly/monthly resource, such as a yearly/monthly BMS or EVS disk, you make a one-time up-front payment. By default, the billing automatically stops when the purchased subscription expires.
(Optional) EVS disk EVS disks that you create when you create a BMS are billed in the same manner as the BMS, but those you later attached to a BMS are billed independently (pay-per-use or yearly/monthly). For details, see EVS Pricing Details.
For details about how to create disks, see Purchasing an EVS Disk in Elastic Volume Service Quick Start. If DSS is used, see Dedicated Distributed Storage Service Getting Started. Procedure Log in to the management console. Under Computing, click Bare Metal Server.
How Do I Obtain the Drive Letter of an EVS Disk? Are the EVS Disk Device Names on the Console and the Device Names in BMS OSs Consistent? Why Is the EVS Disk Size Not Updated in the BMS OS After the EVS Disk Capacity Has Been Expanded?

You can boot BMSs without local disks from Elastic Volume Service (EVS) disks and provision the BMSs within minutes. Cloud Server Backup Service (CSBS) provides the backup service for BMSs. It works based on the consistent snapshot technology for EVS disks.
EVS disk management Query all EVS disks attached to a BMS or query details about an EVS disk attached to a BMS based on the disk ID, such as the mount directory.
