Encrypting Data in ECS Encrypting Data in OBS Encrypting Data in EVS Encrypting Data in IMS Encrypting an RDS DB Instance Encrypting a DDS DB Instance
When ModelArts is used for AI development, data is stored in OBS, EVS, or SFS. In this case, storage fees are generated based on the OBS, EVS, and SFS billing standards.
Then, you can use the data disk image to create EVS disks and migrate your service data to the cloud. Background The following figure shows the process of creating a data disk image from an external image file.
The following two options are available: EVS DSS If you select DSS for DR Site Disk, Storage Pool is mandatory. EVS Storage Pool If you select EVS for DR Site Disk, Storage Pool is not required.
A data disk image can be used to create EVS disks to migrate user service data. F-J F Full-ECS image A full-ECS image is an image created from an entire Elastic Cloud Server (ECS), including its system disk and data disks.

If you do not have this permission, contact a user with the security administrator permissions to grant KMS access rights to EVS, then repeat the preceding operations. For how to create encrypted disks, see Create a Disk.
Setting the Same Renewal Day for Yearly/Monthly Resources If the DBSS instances have different expiry dates or the DBSS instances and attached EVS disks have different expiry dates, you can set the same renewal day, for example, the first day of each month, to make it easier to manage
The following is a code example for copying data to a notebook instance in a development environment running on an EVS: import moxing as mox mox.file.make_dirs('/home/ma-user/work/data') mox.file.copy_parallel('obs://bucket-name/data', '/home/ma-user/work/data') On the Files tab page
After a yearly/monthly cloud phone server is deleted, its associated resources (such as EVS disks and EIPs) that are not deleted together with the cloud phone server continuously generate costs.
To increase the partition size to 140 GB, perform the following operations: On the EVS console, add 100 GB capacity to the disk. After the capacity expansion, check that the size of system disk /dev/sdf has been increased from 40 GB to 140 GB.
Using storage (such as EVS disks and file systems) can effectively prevent data loss caused by rebuilding of a container. This ensures that important data is persistently stored and can be used after the container is rebuilt. Parent Topic: Container Configuration
Run the following commands to check the storage space used by the VM again: cd /home/ma-user/work du -h --max-depth 0 If the notebook instance uses an EVS disk for storage, expand the storage capacity on the notebook instance details page.
Changing the Billing Mode of a Node The billing modes of resources like EVS disks and EIPs used by pay-per-use nodes cannot be changed simultaneously. For details, see Pay-per-Use to Yearly/Monthly.
Cloud Storage Migration If your cluster uses EVS disks or SFS file systems, you can use Cloud Backup and Recovery (CBR) for cross-region migration. For details, see Cloud Backup and Recovery (CBR). CBR lets you back up ECSs, BMSs, disks, and on-premises VMware VMs.
Pay-per-Use to Yearly/Monthly When this function is enabled, Cost Center will analyze the usage of your pay-per-use ECS, EVS, RDS, ELB, and SFS Turbo resources and provide the optimization option of changing the billing mode from pay-per-use to yearly/monthly to help you find cost-saving
Resource type 1: ECS (including images, system disks, and data disks) Resource type 2: EVS disk (shared) Resource type 3: VPC (including EIPs and bandwidths) Batch management: Multiple instances are managed in a batch, such as renewal, specifications changing, unsubscription, and
EVS and OBS use distributed storage to prevent the impacts of hardware faults with a single disk, server, or rack. RDS provides automatic data backup as well as cross-AZ and cross-region data replication and switchover.
You can also retain the EVS disk snapshots for synchronization and cutover, though snapshots may be billed in some regions.
Elastic Volume Service (EVS) provides reliable and high-performance storage. Elastic Cloud Server (ECS) provides VMs that are easily scalable.
