Connecting an ECS Application to APM If your application is deployed on an Elastic Cloud Server (ECS), learn APM based on the following procedure. This section describes how to connect a Java application on an ECS to APM for monitoring. Prerequisites You have purchased an ECS.
In addition, check whether the time of the browser (Windows) is the same as that of the target Elastic Cloud Server (ECS). Check whether applications (including the OS and Java type) meet usage restrictions. Check whether the ICAgent on the host where services reside is normal.
For details, see Ingesting ECS Text Logs to LTS. Click View Logs to go to the LTS page based on the trace ID. For details, see Searching Logs. If the function of associating trace IDs with logs is not enabled, a warning dialog box is displayed.
Public services, such as Elastic Cloud Server (ECS), Elastic Volume Service (EVS), Object Storage Service (OBS), Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Elastic IP (EIP), and Image Management Service (IMS), are shared within the same region.

When purchasing an Elastic Cloud Server (ECS), select an OS that is listed in Table 1.
ICAgent Deployment When you manually install the ICAgent on an Elastic Cloud Server (ECS), your AK/SK will be used as an input parameter in the installation command. To prevent information leakage, disable historical record collection before installing the ICAgent.
- Cloud Service Select Elastic Cloud Server (ECS) and Bare Metal Server (BMS) from the drop-down list. - Validity Period Select Unlimited. - Description (Optional) Provide detailed information about the agency. - Click Next to authorize the agency.
Procedure Purchase an ECS as the jump server and perform the following operations: Log in to the ECS and modify its security group rules. On the ECS details page, click the Security Groups tab. Click a security group name and click Modify Security Group Rule.
The cause may be as follows: Cause: Time Inconsistency Application data is collected by the ICAgent from the Elastic Cloud Server (ECS) and reported to the browser interface.
Process Deploy the application on a Huawei Elastic Cloud Server (ECS). Note that APM supports Huawei ECSs only. Install the ICAgent. The ICAgent is a collection agent for collecting topology and tracing data in real time.
Prerequisites You have connected an Elastic Cloud Server (ECS) to a cluster by running the kubectl command. For details, see Connecting to a Cluster Using kubectl. You have deployed an application using CCE or open-source Kubernetes.
For non-web programs deployed on Elastic Cloud Server (ECS) or Bare Metal Server (BMS), see VM Mode. CCE Mode CCE provides containerized application management.
Remotely log in to the Elastic Cloud Server (ECS) server as the root user and run the preceding command to install the ICAgent. When the message "ICAgent install success" is displayed, the ICAgent is successfully installed in the /opt/oss/servicemgr/ directory.
