An ECS instance is a server that supports high-load applications. It provides multiple billing modes, flavor types, image types, and disk types. You can customize ECS configurations for different service scenarios. For details about the differences among them, see Table 1.

Public services, such as Elastic Cloud Server (ECS), Elastic Volume Service (EVS), Object Storage Service (OBS), Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Elastic IP (EIP), and Image Management Service (IMS), are shared within the same region.

FlexusX uses the same set of APIs as Elastic Cloud Server (ECS). You can directly use ECS APIs to manage FlexusX. For details about ECS APIs, see API Overview. Instance Flavor Naming When using APIs, you need to understand the flavor naming rule of FlexusX.

You can view the ECS quotas on the Quotas page to obtain the available quotas of FlexusX instances, as shown in Figure 1. If the quotas do not meet your requirements, apply for a higher quota.
