How Do I Add an ECS to the Domain of an APS? The newly purchased ECS is not added to the domain where the APS resides. Therefore, the sharing configuration cannot be performed.
Public service resources, such as Elastic Cloud Server (ECS), Elastic Volume Service (EVS), Object Storage Service (OBS), Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Elastic IP (EIP), and Image Management Service (IMS), are shared within the same cloud region.
You can register an official ISO image file obtained from an official channel as a private image in IMS on Huawei Cloud, create and configure an ECS, and convert the ECS to a private desktop image. For details, see Creating a Windows Private Image.
Buy an ECS and add the ECS to the domain of an APS by referring to How Do I Add an ECS to the Domain of an APS?.
On the ECS list page, locate the configured ECS and choose More > Stop to stop it. After the ECS is stopped, choose More > Manage Image/Backup > Create Image to create an ECS backup. After the ECS backup is created, restart the ECS and perform encapsulation on the ECS.
Select ECS, select the ECS created in 4, and click OK. Parent topic: Creating a Windows Private Image (Basic Image)
