Will I Lose My Disk Data If I Reinstall ECS OS, Change the OS, or Change the ECS Specifications? Table 1 Impact Item OS Reinstallation OS Change Specifications Modification Application scenario Initialize an ECS. The ECS OS remains unchanged after OS change.
Will I Lose My Disk Data If I Reinstall ECS OS, Change the OS, or Change the ECS Specifications? How Can I Export the Original Data After I Changed My Server OS from Windows to CentOS? What Are the Differences Between MBR and GPT Partition Styles?
Windows does not support this metric. 0-100% ECS 5 minutes in average Dimensions Key Value instance_id Specifies the ECS ID. Parent Topic: Cloud Eye Monitoring
Log in to the ECS as user root.
How Can I Obtain ECS NIC Information? Scenarios This topic shows how to obtain the ECS NIC information, such as the ECS IP address. Procedure Log in to the management console. Choose Compute > Elastic Cloud Server. The ECS console is displayed.
In this example, the ECS runs CentOS 7.5 64bit. Configurations vary depending on the OS running on the ECS. This section is used for reference only. For the detailed operations and differences, see the corresponding OS documents. Procedure Log in to the ECS as user root.
Concepts of the anti-affinity ECS group and SCSI reservations: The anti-affinity policy of an ECS group allows ECSs to be created on different physical servers to improve service reliability. For details about ECS groups, see Managing ECS Groups.
Purchasing an ECS Creating a BMS Data disk You can purchase data disks together with servers or separately. Purchasing an ECS Creating a BMS Purchasing an EVS Disk Figure 1 shows the process of purchasing and using a data disk.
Moved to the recycle bin Moved to the recycle bin If the minimum number of days set in the EVS recycle bin policy is smaller than that set in the ECS recycle bin policy, for example: ECS recycle bin policy: 15 days EVS recycle bin policy: 7 days ECSs comply with the ECS recycle bin
For how to obtain the disk name in the OS, see FAQ "How Do I Obtain My Disk Name in the ECS OS Using the Device Identifier Provided on the Console?" in the Elastic Cloud Server FAQs. Figure 1 Attach Disk Click OK.
The Elastic Cloud Server page is displayed. Click Buy ECS. For details, see the Elastic Cloud Server User Guide. Configure the following parameters as planned: Image: Select CentOS 7.5 64bit. EIP: An EIP is mandatory if the ECS needs to access the public network.
Servers In this example, one Elastic Cloud Server (ECS) is created, and Table 1 shows the parameter specifications.

In the search box above the upper right corner of the ECS list, enter the ECS name, IP address, or ID for search. Click the name of the target ECS. The ECS details page is displayed. Click the Disks tab. Then, click Attach Disk. The Attach Disk page is displayed.
SCSI reservations take effect only when shared SCSI EVS disks are attached to ECSs in the same ECS group. Device Types Supported by ECS Device types supported by ECS are determined by the ECS type and scenarios.
For details, see Management > Detaching an EVS Disk from a Running ECS in the Elastic Cloud Server User Guide. Parent topic: Detachment
Prerequisites You have an ECS and have bound an EIP to the ECS. Procedure Log in to the ECS as user root.

For details about how to install the Agent on an ECS, see Installing and Configuring the Agent on a Linux ECS or BMS in the Cloud Eye User Guide.
EVS disks already attached to ECS support cross-region backup and restoration. Such disks can be backed up together with their ECS using CBR cloud server backup, which supports cross-region replication.
