Public services, such as Elastic Cloud Server (ECS), Elastic Volume Service (EVS), Object Storage Service (OBS), Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Elastic IP (EIP), and Image Management Service (IMS), are shared within the same region.
For the operation procedure on a Windows ECS, see How Do I Disable a Windows ECS Firewall and Add a Port Exception on a Windows ECS Firewall? For the operation procedure on a Linux ECS, see How Do I Disable a Linux ECS Firewall and Add a Port Exception on a Linux ECS Firewall?
The username and password for logging in to a Windows ECS have been obtained. Procedure Go to the ECS console and log in to the Windows ECS. Choose Start > Control Panel. In the Control Panel window, click User Accounts.
Quotas can limit the number or amount of resources available to users, such as the maximum number of ECS or EVS disks that can be created. If the existing resource quota cannot meet your service requirements, you can apply for a higher quota. How Do I View My Quotas?
ECS Creating Protected Instances Use EVS disks to create replication pairs in synchronous replication. EVS Creating a Replication Pair Use DSS disks to create replication pairs in synchronous replication.
The region, AZ, and VPC configurations of the ECS must be the same as those of the production site servers. The minimum specifications supported by a cloud disaster recovery gateway are 2 vCPUs and 4 GB memory.
Go back to the ECS list. The ECS console is displayed. Click the name of the created ECS to go to the ECS details page. You can see that the ECS image is the newly created image. See Figure 3. Figure 3 ECS details page Log in to the ECS.

For details about how to detach a disk online, see Disk > Detaching an EVS Disk from a Running ECS in the Elastic Cloud Server User Guide. Procedure Log in to the management console. Click Service List and choose Storage > Storage Disaster Recovery Service.
NOTE: If a production site server has been added to an ECS group, you are not allowed to specify a DeH to create the DR site server for the production site server. ECS DeH This parameter is mandatory when DR Site Server is set to DeH.

During a drill, an ECS used for system conversion will be created, with a name suffix VMwareToCloud. Do not perform any operation on this ECS. Or, the drill may fail. This ECS will be automatically deleted after the drill is complete.

Overview Storage Disaster Recovery Service (SDRS) provides disaster recovery services for cloud services like Elastic Cloud Server (ECS) and Elastic Volume Service (EVS).
See the ECS and EVS pricing details for more information. Billing After Switchovers During a switchover, disaster recovery site servers are created and billed based on the ECS billing standards.
IDC-to-cloud: Click the link on the console to download the package and upload it to the ECS where you deployed the gateway.
