How Can I Create and Connect to an ECS? To create an ECS, see Elastic Cloud Server User Guide. The ECS to be created must be in the same VPC and security group with the GeminiDB Redis instance to which it connects.
An ECS is available. For details, see Purchasing an ECS. If the Linux operating system is used, ensure that compilation tools such as GCC have been installed on the ECS. The created ECS is in the same region, AZ, VPC, and security group as the GeminiDB Redis instance.
An ECS is available. For details, see Purchasing an ECS. GNU Compiler Collection (GCC) has been installed on the ECS. The created ECS is in the same region, AZ, VPC, and security group as the GeminiDB Redis instance.
REMOTE_USER is the ECS OS user. REMOTE_ADDRESS is the ECS address. REMOTE_DIR is the directory of the ECS to which the exportfile.json.gz file is uploaded. In Windows, upload exportfile.json.gz to the ECS using file transfer tools.
Prerequisites Prepare an ECS or a device that can access GeminiDB Mongo. To connect to a GeminiDB Mongo instance over a private network from an ECS, create and log in to the ECS. For details, see Purchasing an ECS and Logging In to an ECS.
The ECS must be in a security group that has access to the instances. For details, see Setting Security Group Rules for a GeminiDB Cassandra Instance. Prerequisites A GeminiDB Cassandra instance has been created and is running properly. An ECS has been created.
An ECS has been created. The following uses a Linux ECS as an example. For details, see Purchasing an ECS in Getting Started with Elastic Cloud Server. Download and install the Cassandra client that matches the CPU type of the ECS.

REMOTE_USER is the ECS OS user. REMOTE_ADDRESS is the ECS address. REMOTE_DIR is the directory of the ECS to which the root certificate is uploaded. In Windows, upload the root certificate using a remote connection tool. Connect to a DB instance.

Connecting to a Database Prerequisites To connect an ECS to an instance, the ECS must be able to communicate with the GeminiDB Mongo instance.
If the ECS and GeminiDB Influx instance are in different security groups, configure security group rules for the ECS and instance, respectively. Configure inbound rules for the security group associated with the GeminiDB Influx instance. For details, see Procedure.
On the Elastic Cloud Server console, click Buy ECS. Configure basic settings and click Next: Configure Network. Make sure that the ECS is in the same region, AZ, VPC, and security group as the GeminiDB Mongo instance you created.
