Public services, such as Elastic Cloud Server (ECS), Elastic Volume Service (EVS), Object Storage Service (OBS), Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Elastic IP (EIP), and Image Management Service (IMS), are shared within the same region.
In the following figure, an ECS serves as an email server, and a PTR record is configured to map the EIP of the ECS to the domain name configured for accessing the email server. Figure 1 Reverse resolution Figure 1 shows only the process for reverse resolution.
If your website server is an ECS, log in to the ECS console to obtain the public IP address of the ECS. If your website server is not an ECS, contact your server provider to obtain the public IP address. Ensure that the domain name is normal.
If you use an ECS as an email server, configure a PTR record to map the EIP of the ECS to the domain name. PTR records take effect only after the name servers are configured.

The following describes how an ECS accesses a website using a domain name. If the domain name is a private domain name you configure on the DNS console or is the domain name of a cloud service, private DNS directly returns the mapped IP address.
You can deploy an ECS as an email server and add a PTR record to map the EIP bound to the ECS to the domain name used by the email server. All regions.
Step 2: Configure the Cloud DNS Server (DC02) Remotely log in to the ECS where DC02 is to be installed. Set a static IP address by referring to 2. Add Active Directory Domain Services (ADDS). Open Server Manager.
Similarly, in the cloud environment, if the DNS server of an ECS points to a self-deployed DNS server in the local environment, the domain name may not be resolved when the ECS attempts to access cloud service endpoints.
DNS queries from an ECS are first sent to the Huawei Cloud DNS server.
Ensure that the DNS server address of the VPC subnet associated with the ECS is the same as the private DNS server address of Huawei Cloud.
