Procedure (Windows) Log in to the ECS or BMS as an administrator. Open the Task Manager and check whether the telescope process is running. If there are Figure 5 and Figure 6, the telescope process is running.

Public services, such as Elastic Cloud Server (ECS), Elastic Volume Service (EVS), Object Storage Service (OBS), Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Elastic IP (EIP), and Image Management Service (IMS), are shared within the same region.
Server monitoring After you install the Agent (Telescope) on an ECS or Bare Metal Server (BMS), you can collect 60-second granularity ECS and BMS monitoring data in real-time. Cloud Eye provides 40 metrics, such as CPU, memory, and disk metrics. For details, see Overview.
This topic describes how to create an alarm rule to monitor specified resources of an ECS or BMS. Procedure Log in to the Cloud Eye console. In the navigation pane, choose Server Monitoring > Elastic Cloud Server (or Bare Metal Server).
For example, metric_name of ECS CPU usage is cpu_util. For details about the metrics of each service, see Services Interconnected with Cloud Eye.
For example, the ECS namespace is SYS.ECS, and the DDS namespace is SYS.DDS. Default Value N/A metric_name Yes String Definition Metric ID. For example, metric_name of ECS CPU usage is cpu_util.
What's New The following tables describe the features released in each ECS version and corresponding documentation updates. New features will be successively launched in each region. March 2020 No.
For example, the ECS dimension is instance_id. To view the dimension of each resource, see Services Interconnected with Cloud Eye. value String Yes Specifies the resource dimension value, which is the instance ID.

ECS memory and CPU usages affect the service execution speed. To monitor more fine-grained metrics, you can install and configure the Agent on ECSs. You can set the thresholds of CPU usage, memory usage, and disk usage to > 80%, respectively.

Comparing Multiple Metrics You can view multiple metrics, like the CPU usage, memory usage, and disk usage of an ECS in one graph. Viewing Resource Consumption If you have 20 ECSs, their CPU usage will be listed from highest to lowest.

For example, if the monitoring metric of an ECS is CPU usage, metric_name is cpu_util.
