Compute Insufficient CPU or memory capacity Use a larger ECS flavor. The cluster needs to restart once. No need for data migration. Can be completed within 5 to 10 minutes.
Procedure Before using GDS to import or export data, see "Preparing an ECS as the GDS Server" and "Downloading the GDS Package" in Tutorial: Using GDS to Import Data from a Remote Server.
For details, see Logging In to an ECS in the MapReduce Service User Guide.
Procedure Preparing an ECS as the gsql Client Host. Download the gsql client and use an SSH transfer tool (such as WinSCP) to upload it to the Linux server where gsql is to be installed. For details, see Downloading the Client.
Local SSD: Local disks in ECS flavors serve as data storage media, offering fixed capacity and superior performance. However, disk scale-out is not supported. For more information, see What Are the Differences Between Cloud SSDs and Local SSDs?

Using Shell Scripts to Automatically Execute Queries and Collect Results Log in to the ECS, go to the /opt directory, and run the vim commands to generate two script files query.conf and run_query.sh. The script content is as follows. After editing, press :wq!
Table 3 Advanced settings Parameter Example Value Tag test01 Hostname Prefix (Optional) Prefix for the name of an ECS or BMS in the cluster. Auto Scaling Retain the default value. Bootstrap Action Retain the default value. MRS 3.x does not support this parameter.
Starting or stopping a cluster After the cluster is stopped, ECS basic resources (vCPUs and memory) are no longer reserved. When you start the service again, it may fail to be started due to insufficient resources. In this case, wait for a while and try again later.

Scaling Out with Idle Nodes To ensure reliability, prepare ECS first by referring to Adding Nodes for a large-scale cluster, and scale out the cluster using idle nodes.
